Karakol goes into a hiatus in terms of what the glyphs and the monuments say, which is odd only because usually when you're defeated in war, like happened at Tikal, it's kind of bad for the site and you can see this decline in wealth and well-being.
Instead at Karakol, things continue to explode after they're defeated in war.
So the average person at Caracol, if you were to choose to live at the site and you're not getting to choose to be the uppermost elite, you'd want to live at Caracol after 680 in this next period, which is 120 years of wealth sharing and a really strong group in the middle.
Society keeps on flourishing.
And we can see some of the other little cities declaring their own little independence around Caracol, but Caracol itself is flourishing for that period.
I don't know of another case like that.
