There are a number of animal trials on BPC 157 that shows that tendons, um, especially Achilles tendon, basically growing back together where it should have um then severed.

And and so there I have a lot of success stories with with those peptides that have made life-changing differences for for patients.

I want to take a quick step back and just say that most peptides are

investigational and not FDA approved.

So some are FDA approved and and um have gone through large trials, but a lot of them are used in this sort of investigational fashion.

They tend to be safer than most medications just because they are something that we naturally produce.

We produce BPC one five seven in our gut.

That's the amount we produce just goes down as we get older.

So it's something, it's a conversation that I have with every patient to make sure that they understand that this isn't risk-free.

Nothing is risk-free.

And to get an understanding if the risks outweigh the benefits for your particular situation.

And a lot of times if I can get a man or a woman active again, that

tense and they can build muscle and get active and fix their metabolic health and get a quality of life that they couldn't have before.

Um, for us usually that the benefits outweigh any potential risks.

Yeah.

So we have transitioned almost entirely to compounding pharmacies now because that is really the safest way to go because every compounding pharmacy is overseen by the Board of Pharmacy, by the FDA, and lab created peptides, although I think there are probably some labs that are doing a good job and have certificates of analysis that

are clean and accurate.

The water has become so muddy that there's just so many companies out there now.

There's mo the the process of creating a peptide, it naturally produces something called an endotoxin when it's created in a lab.

And there's another step that has to be taken to remove those endotoxins and then to test the peptide to make sure they're not in there.
