And I think if you look at the neuroscience supports it, too.
So I think this is where we when we look at the behavioral addictions, someone who's addicted to sex, we would not expect them to be celibate.
Our treatment goals for something like sex addiction or shopping addiction, you're addicted to shopping.
You're never allowed to buy anything ever again.
You're sober from spending money.
That doesn't work in the world we live in.
And when we look at technology, like you can survive without nicotine or alcohol, caffeine.
You can survive without those things.
I don't know that you can survive without technology use.
You could probably survive without gaming, but you don't need to, right?
So with the behavioral addictions, this is where there is a neurobiological difference.
And so you can absolutely achieve that.
And our goals are the same for my patients who are addicted to sex or shopping, which is let's use it in a healthy way and not use it in an unhealthy way.
