Yeah.

I think both our shared love of David Lynch and Twin Peaks, it might have been you.

I'm not too sure that turned me on to the David Lynch Foundation because of his lifelong passion of Transcendental Meditation.

So I started looking into it and I saw that they occasionally offer scholarships for service members and service members and veterans that have PTSD.

So shortly after Austin, I had reached out to the DLF, the David Lynch Foundation,

And December of 2024, I was awarded a scholarship to go and do TM training in D.C.

So I tried to go in with an open mind.

I didn't like it.

I didn't.

I feel like maybe some of your audience may understand kind of like what I'm getting at, but like when, or even anybody that's struggled with like depression or anxiety, uh, sometimes you want a silver bullet and there's a lot of medication that I kind of been on that like, I don't like the way that makes me feel, you know, that to stabilize my moods and, uh,

You know like a you just want it to work like you just you just want something to like be happy to like get the fog away And so I was trying to go into it with as much of open mind as possible and not hope that it was a silver bullet Great experience there's a three-day training And it is a little bit like you kind of got to hold your skepticism aside.

It does seem like a little woo-woo but

I have not been doing TM regularly lately, but I did meditate twice a day, what TM prescribes, twice a day for almost a year straight.

And I feel like after the second or third week, I was like, man, am I more chill?

Is things just rolling off of me easier now?

But I was like, you know what?

Like the placebo effect.

I'm like, maybe I'm just seeing that.

Right, right.

And it was maybe like a month or a month and a half after that.
