So the first one is just kids don't need selfless martyrs.
Kids need sturdy leaders.
And I just think this whole selfless martyrdom, I guess it's not what we want our kids to say.
Like my 20-year-old kid, oh, my mom loved me so much.
She ran herself into the ground.
No.
My mom showed me.
She looked like shit my whole childhood, but she was always there.
Full of resentment.
I could smell the resentment on her body.
No, like I want my kids to say, my mom really showed me what it was like to take care of other people and take care of yourself at the same time.
And now that is something that has been modeled for me.
So I know it's possible.
That's what I want.
think that's right.
I just think we have to stop calling that love and parenting.
And then the other side of it, given that this feels so new, is I always say to moms, the most powerful, the best leaders I know take so much pride in education.
