Because our bodies imitate these expressions and vocal tone.
It is very, very common to just soak up someone's emotions and start feeling bad.
I do think that like if you're spending time with someone who's miserable or angry or whatever, like their emotions are going to rub off on you.
Just like, you know, we all have that friend who's always so energetic and like amazing to be around and you feel better afterwards.
I do think it's something worth paying attention to.
And maybe the answer is instead of not spending time with that person, acknowledging it and guarding yourself.
Because probably those people are the people who like really need the interaction the most.
Emotional contagion is like a very real neuroscientific phenomenon.
