And every step that was taken aggravated the problem until the colonists came to conclusion.
Reluctantly, in many cases, they came to conclusion they had to separate, that that was the only solution.

Even before we had challenges and instant replay, which I think have been a mixed blessing.

If it had been inches longer, she wouldn't have been so attractive.
And then blah, blah, blah.
It's there's a lot of close calls in George Washington.
One of the biggest things he did, it doesn't get a lot of credit for this, is simply holding the army together during this war.

We were at war from 1775, April 1775 on,
But by the time that say Christmas of 1776 rolled around, we were on the defensive.
We were losing every battle.
The British were just overwhelming us.
Even the day that the declaration, the actual declaration of independence, not the document, but July 2nd, the British were landing a huge force at Staten Island and they were gonna just overwhelm us.
So,
It was that day that Washington, Christmas Day, 1776, Washington ordered the crossing the Delaware, the attack in the early morning hours of the Hessians at Trenton.
And that was a win.
That was a win, a glorious win for us, a gutsy win.
uh right under the circumstances but but he had by the time the winter came into full uh you know uh full bloom by the early 70 77 uh uh his troops were deserting they were dying off uh and valley forge was later but it's another instance where uh uh he was in danger of losing the army you know he'd go into months where he had only three thousand men
