So for anyone listening to this, think of someone in your life who is stuck and is feeling like that.
and go and be that person that they can lean on.
Because I was recently talking to Peter McFerrie and I've often wondered, people who have gone through the depths of trauma, the depths of addiction, lower than myself and lower than many other people, is there hope for them?
And I wondered if there was, because a great friend of mine really is still in the depths of it.
He didn't seem to have a rock bottom.
He had many rock bottoms, but it didn't seem to be the bottom.
And I asked that question to Peter McFerrie who has seen tens of thousands of people in that situation.
And he says the most important thing for people is that they have someone to lean on, just someone in their life.
And what addiction does, it thrives in disconnection and loneliness.
It pulls people away from everyone else because of the pain that they create to people that they know and loved ones.
So they're left on their own.
So just try to be that person for someone that's stuck and just say, here, look, is there anything I can do for you?
I'm here.
And if they do ask for help, be there so they feel seen and heard and understood.
Thank you, Brandon.
An absolute pleasure.
I really enjoyed it.
Thanks for having me.
