That brings us to 74.

So we go on our little chart and we look back.

We find out that number is 2011.

The world was burning 74 million barrels a day.

Problem.

The world's economy was 36% smaller back then.

And so this is what I work really hard at is because I do what I call put on my energy goggles.

And it means when I go out, I don't just see a maddening, infuriating traffic jam.

I just see energy.

I see people burning oil, gasoline.

I see cars that took oil and diesel to manufacture them.

I see jets flying.

I see bridges that need to be repaired.

And all of this is just energy, right?

And it just sort of makes sense, right?

So the economy...

requires people to do things like we ought to do some work even if we have a service job are still doing work will work requires energy and so therefore the economy requires energy we can just put those pieces together and so when you have less energy flowing through an economy by definition

It starts to skinny down.

It gets simpler, which is a euphemism for it craters.

And so we are actually risking the cratering of the world economy.
