And it's only when you got past the lead, back into the fourth or fifth paragraph, that RTE says, oh, and by the way, this is just based on house prices going up.

And it's all down to the doubling of house prices.

As if people can cash in on their house pricing and go live in a...

in the tent in the Wicklow Hills or something.

You know, so it's very, very problematic then for us on the left to try and kind of show that

that what's happening on the ground is not going to be reflected in terms of the headline stats.

And I do not have to tell you this, Rory, because you've been brilliant just over the last 10 years is that you go on these shows.

And then you get these figures kind of thrown in your face as if, you know, by, by very small kind of presenters, you know, who then, who then like know that you have 90 seconds to kind of make your point and you can't get into, like, it took me five minutes to

just to kind of say that we're not dealing with reality here.

Yeah.

And you're not going to get that on like news talk, you know, and kind of fair play.

I mean, you know, like you do it like, you know, but, but, you know, but like, you know, these are the problems, you know?

So then, and this gets into the spokespeople and because like you're, you've now crossed over to the dark side, it, it, it, you know, like, you know, in the doll itself.

But I mean, you know, this is something that, that, that, um,

that William Boyd Barrett and Paul Morphy and Pierce Stardew have had for years as well, you know?

So there's a real dishonesty when it comes to the kind of legacy kind of media.

And I know that sounds a bit kind of...

conspiracy, but it is kind of true, you know, that they just, that they try and push this kind of Alice in Wonderland view of our society.

It's very, very difficult to debunk that in a bloody soundbite.
