So you have a buildup of ammonia, you have a buildup of acidity.
And it is exactly those conditions that actually help the brain absorb more creatine.
And when your energy is struggling to keep up with the demands of just being awake, like you don't have to be thinking hard.
Your brain is working really hard just being awake.
And when you don't get enough sleep, you're kind of building on top of some of that sleep pressure that you built up yesterday.
So it's like it's build instead of starting from a fresh slate.
When you don't get enough sleep, you're building on top of this burden that was not fully resolved from yesterday.
And you just feel that the whole day.
And what creatine does is because it is helping restore energy, ATP, at a faster rate, because when ATP is used, it breaks down from ATP, three phosphates, to two phosphates, right?
And then it needs to regenerate back to ATP so that it can continue to use your cash, right?
And so creatine helps the body make energy ATP faster when it is being used at a fast rate.
And some of the research on this is just mind blowing.

So almost a full day.
And then they'll measure in that period where you might usually gone to sleep into the night.
And what you notice in the placebo group is that performance degrades reliably, as you'd imagine, right?
The sleepier you get, the worse your performance.
And performance on a variety of tasks, your ability to hold information in your working memory, your reaction time gets slower, information processing gets slower.
So you get dumb, you get slow, right?
You know, you make mistakes and you can't remember anything and everything slows down.
