And so she said, hey, I have a C. And dad, you say, you always tell us it's not about the grade, right?

So I was like,

okay, I got to dig deep and think about that because that is true.

What's my message here?

Because I'm thinking, hey, do a few of these assignments.

And yeah, you actually can get an easy A. You know, here I am buying into the, like, you're still going to have to apply to college.

And of all the classes you take, this is an easier A. So, but I didn't say that.

I'm thinking, okay, let me think about this.

Talked it over with my wife a little bit.

And then I found what my explanation was.

And I said something like, hey, sweetheart,

I agree with you.

Mom and I do not care about your grades.

We care about effort.

And we've talked about perfectionism a lot.

You know, you get that from me.

So I get it.
