Perhaps the most important uh question uh to to raise when we talk about AMR governance.

Uh I I have seen so many national action plans that that mention some sort of global action or international collaboration, but but it remains rather symbolic and and without teeth.

Resistance levels are increasing uh in Sweden, in Europe, and globally.

National action plans have been tested and we have built up infrastructure in in many places, but it but resistance levels continue to re to increase.

So we need to think, um, you know, we we need to go back and think, okay, why

Is this and what can we do?

Um, and I'm convinced that that we need a new sort of rethinking of national action plans and what the the international dimension of this problem uh needs to be.

Uh and so I think that we need to to spend much more resources on international collaboration and and global action.

We need to create leadership um and

function to to much greater extent than than than what we have today.

I think that we need to a new a new global system because without uh this new r rethinking I think that we are going to see uh an exponential growth in resistance levels.

I think policymakers and researchers uh should think about AMR as a ethical problem, uh including

Several uh dimensions of fairness and burden sharing.

We can start by saying that the wealthy uh parts of the world have enjoyed uh antibiotics for a longer time.

We have greater resources in the wealthy side of the world.

And other places they have also responsibilities, but they have less capacity.

And ultimately, we need to summon and create an agreement.
