Most often though I find that when you present people with the the reality of the situation and they can
Gi ha give them a chance to grieve what they wish they could have had and then make a decision about what they are uh what what they're okay with moving forward.
most people um are able to to move on with that.
Now I will also say that
I like to tell couples that
80% of happy couples experience is positive, which means 20% of the time they're struggling.
So 80% of your communication is good, 80% of your sexual encounters are fulfilling.
Generally 80% across the board is going well, which means you're shooting for a B minus.
And I think that concept of like it's not going to be perfect.
And in general, really happy couples are pulling in about a B minus is a really important reality check for most folk.

And if you're looking at your relationship and then thinking like, well I could do better if I met someone with these qualities, sure, maybe they have those qualities, but then they don't have a dozen others that you have in this relationship.
And it's it's just never going to be per a perfect match.
Um especially as you get past the infatuation period and all the hormones calm down and then you kinda see each other for what you really are, you know?
So
So those two pieces I think theoretically are important to lay out for the neurotypical spouse.
Um
And and then of course there's different strategies that I can implore for
Whatever feature we're trying to address.
So there's different ways to teach emotional intelligence to people.
