They're both fascinated by scientists.
Churchill has Lord Charwell, he's not yet called that, sitting around his dinner table at Chequers in his wilderness years of the 1930s.
He becomes a major figure in the Second World War.
But the two of them fight for the ownership of that wonderful phrase, you want your scientists on tap, but not on top.
And what we've done, of course, with this multitude of quangos, 400 and odd of them, effectively spending nearly a third of the state budget without any form of democratic control, you've put the expert on top.
That's why Michael Gove said, you know, we've had too much of experts.
