So, for example, you were only down to kind of volunteer Monday to Friday, but I'd be there at the weekends.

I'd be doing every single thing that I could because, to me, this was it.

This is the dream.

yeah this is the dream and i'm like this how this is me chasing the dream there and i'm like if i if i don't do that and if i piss it off at the weekend or whatever what's the point i'm there to learn and and meet people and that just yeah opened up the world to me and that got me into kind of understanding academia like i i come from that background of even like academic papers i had no clue what an academic paper was so i had all these students and that going around saying oh have you read this paper read that paper i naively thought they meant fucking newspapers well

And I said that, and they all laughed at that, and I was like, well, I've no clue.

So, legit, the first day, well, actually, I'll take a step back.

So, just because this story is wild and in very much Wyoming, I eventually, after these three flights, got to Wyoming.

It's been a long day and a half traveling.

I'm tired, sweaty, and I'm like, oh, man, I can't be dealing with this, but I just want to get to where I need to be.

Guy rocks up a little bit late, and it's another guy who picks up a chap called Greg, and he's like, yeah, the guy I was meant to pick up, he quit yesterday.

I'm like, what do you mean he quit?

I'm like, okay, so immediately, like, red flag for me, like, what's going on here?

And he's like, no, no, it'll be fine.

Anyway, driving back, and he's telling me a bit more about the museum, and it starts to get to the point where it's, like, dusk, and I'd noticed, like, lots of deer on the road, and I'm like, you know, just general chit-chat about deer, and he's like, yeah, deer outpopulate, you know, humans here in Wyoming.

I was like, okay.

I was like, have you ever clipped any?

And he's like, well, no, within 30 seconds.

Boom, straight through Bambi, 70 miles per hour.

And we couldn't swerve or anything.
