And so the question is, how many calories excess are they eating?
And if you really ask for that, it's between 300 and 500 calories.
And so what we actually did was look at studies that were 300 to 500 calorie restrictions.
In other words, we were normalizing people.
And basically, most of the studies, the people came into equilibrium at a new weight.
They were long enough that they actually would plateau.
So I would argue that we just simply normalized the individuals.
And the idea that we shouldn't have used any energy restriction means that the people making that argument are arguing we should have dietary guidelines to keep people fat.
And that simply is a really lousy argument on my opinion.

I mean, but that was driven by saturated fat.
Saturated fat and fiber drove all of the other decisions.
10% of calories.
So if you're eating 4,000 calories, you can have 44 grams per day, but if you're only eating 1,400, you can only have 1,600 or 16 grams.
Okay, yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
Yeah, 5, 5.5%.
And that's kind of consistent with mortality.
Heart disease's mortality is around 30%.
