300 grams of carbohydrates, not going to be healthy.
That's not healthy.
Yeah.
I mean, and even 45% of calories is probably not healthy.
And so that's my problem is that the guidelines have decided one RDA is important and the other RDA is not.
And that's just not scientifically valid.
And so I think those ranges...
are basically useful to a consumer-facing audience that say, this is what we think you can have.
This is your range of choice.
And I think we're trying to move into an era of personalized nutrition, personalized health care in nutrition.
And that the person who is more toward diabetes needs that low carbohydrate.
But there may be somebody who's struggling more with heart disease, lipid problems, who a lower fat diet makes sense.
But
Having a public health guideline, one guideline that says everybody should be that way, I think is where we've got to get away from.
And again, I think the new guidelines allow for that, allow for people to recognize what their situation is and also bring in their own personal preference of what they want to eat.
We all have a requirement for 20 amino acids to make the proteins in the body and also the other metabolic aspects.
Eleven of them we potentially can make, nine of them we can't, so they're called essential or indispensable.
Protein ends up just being really the delivery system for getting those that represents the food sources of where we get those amino acids.
I think the era coming up, I think one of the things we're going to have to be more, you know, we treat protein sort of like it's a vitamin pill.
We say, you know, we might have a vitamin pill that has 14 vitamins in it, and we don't sort of, and then we don't spend a lot of time discussing the color of the pill.
