Um by for example, what I see in a lot of anxiety treatment outside of OCD is the clinician becoming anxious and to risk in response to the client's anxiety, and then there's a vicarious anxiety.

You know, what I'll say to young uh early career sites is like when a client goes high, you go low, right?

So they're escalating even in your

Tone.

and the way you're delivering things, you go exactly the opposite, you go quieter.

You speak slower.

And it also gives you time to think about I'm being triggered right now, they're in the middle of a panic attack, you know, and and how am I gonna deal with that?

And it's the interpolar play I think that's sometimes missed, whether that's training, whether that's taking their time to hone their craft.

I mean, I I probably am quite old school when it comes to the art of psychology.

Yes, I'm big on data and all of that, but I

do feel that sometimes that art and how we are with the client and in the space

in that interpersonal dynamic and doing our own therapy and work.

Isn't as emphasized and maybe that's because of AI.

And no, I'm not gonna do a anti AI thing, although I'm not a huge fan, except

Yeah, and I think also it's like

Sometimes when I'll say something like that or I can say like and it it can be like it's not like saying just dig in, you know, grasp your way through.

It's actually around, if we go back from a schema perspective, it's actually around embracing failure.

And I will often say, you know, to to clients and anyone alike, like the most successful people are the ones that embrace and create room for their own failures.

and stuffing up and doing all of that.

And it's so important with O C D to to be able to embrace the failure, be humble with what kind of comes back 'cause you will get it wrong.
