Um, you know, all of a lot of the time you're also giving them
um openners to you know uh like I will give them some reassurance and say, look a lot of the time and I have worked with sexual offending
So I'll say things like, you know, a lot of the time when you do have people that are attracted to children or um animals, they're often not sitting in the office feeling anxious.
Um so tell me about your journey as to how you experience them.
So you're really getting that stuff.
Um, I'll also say things like sometimes with OCD we can actually have these groinal responses.
So there'll be um sort of sensations in sexual organs or breasts.
Sometimes it happens like breastfeeding or um for example, let's say the dog's sitting on your lap and for whatever reason
Because you're watching tally and there's a six scene, there was a response from Riguine.
And the dog was sitting there, therefore the interpretation is you're attracted to your dog.
You know, so I sometimes there can be these links which are kind of erroneous.
So how I do it is you have to make a really soft landing.
You have to make it, this is what happens, this is sometimes what I see.
And then once you go, you get their data, you get what they're saying, then in your head as a clinician, you're going, Okay, is this part of an O C D?
Is this actually part of sexual offending?
And you're looking accordingly.
And if it's a bit tricky.
you'll kinda notice it's tricky, then you might actually seek supervision, might do those things around it.
You might go, Oh, actually, you know what?
