you know, the magical thinking aspect of I have this thought, therefore it equates to action and we'll we'll we'll co and I always say to them, Okay, but I can have a thought that ninjas are gonna jump into this room.

Ninjas are not gonna jump into this room right now.

And I always do this experiment with them and I've done it for fourteen years, like my O C D magical thinking people.

And um

Sometimes I do it a little bit for shock value if I think they're getting a bit complacent with therapy or stuff.

And I'll say something like, Well, we're gonna do a thought action fusion sentence experiment, but I'm gonna use the thought.

And I'll say, look, you know, I'm going to say out loud and write down, I really hope that I die in a really horrible car accident on the way home.

And, you know, by extension I might even put my husband in there.

I hope my husband dies as well.

um a horrific one and then the children are left by themselves.

And I really hope that happens.

And then, you know, all that stuff.

And you're not allowed to ring the next day to see them there.

And you know, so so we do like I do a lot of stuff like that.

And they're like, oh I don't really care, but they really do.

And then I'll eventually get them to do it.

So you're not your thoughts.
