Um is it Fairburn?

Yeah, it was probably Fairburn.

Like, yeah, yeah, well that name I know.

I'm saying my dinosaur days now, but and and he was like he's kind of talking about this concept around you know, you diagnosed with anorexia at you know 14 and then morphing on to bulimia and then morphing on to binge eating.

And a lot of the time I think sometimes if we chase content and symptomatology, we kind of miss underneath what's really

Really going on.

I find

differentials between anxiety and O C D and ADHD and and eating disorders, a little the time it will be purely based on what is the function or the purpose for that person right now.

Um, you know, what is it driving?

And that's probably where I've moved

later in in my life, which has made it easier to pull apart.

Well, I think because at that point, like first episode psychosis, I mean you get some beautifully florid reports, right?

You know, someone's um

the King of England and then someone else and you know, so you get used to the kind of like really descriptive narratives that that come out when a person's got psychosis.

But what I think hooked me in was that when the for this particular client the psychosis remit the the reports that they were a murderer um remained, even though cognitively now they're completely intact and on antipsychotics and I was like, Well, hang on.

And the fact that it was just not subject to any logic, but they weren't delusional or psychotic for me was fascinating and that jigsaw I was like, Well, hang on.

And very h like these are really high functioning um young people.

You know, just needed a good solid, you know, antipsychotic and or, you know, try and stop doing a lot of drugs.

But, you know, once they sort of become that full circle and going back

and actually talking to them about it, I just really didn't understand for me what was going on.
