That's when O C D was explained to me.
And I was taught around, you know, how it's not so much thought the way they see the thought and that very much cognitive appraisal model.
And I really fell in love with that model, which was Paul Sarkoska's model around, you know, people are, you know, approaching thoughts, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
And, you know, I think I really was able to use that and then
just kind of make it my own in a way in the therapy room.
And that's something I've always just enjoyed when you have a client and OCD is a great disorder for it.
Where where a client sort of says, well, no, this is as far as I I can go.
I want to go there, but I can't.
And it might be I can't because of fear, or I can't because of this.
And for me, the puzzle and challenge of trying to get that client from here.
to recovery or wherever they need to go.
Yep.
was was the thing that really attracted me.
Oh, of course.
And look, you know, I I am a a fan definitely of diagnosis.
The only um thing I'm not a a huge fan on is diagnosis of personality disorders.
And that's purely because I think it's a little bit in your face to say your entire disorder is personality.
And it's purely it's purely on that language itself.
But regarding treatment, I think it's um really important that we have a firm diagnostic category.
And with OCD, look, we do have the luxury that it is quite distinct when it presents.
