And the other thing that I think needs to be mentioned just in general is that the Parthian families are really important in the Sasanian period and really important all the way through Sasanian rule.
And so the Parthians don't go away.
The ruling dynasty, the Arsacids, they go away, but the Parthians continue.
So there's really powerful Parthian families who are visible in the sources all the way through to the very end of the Sasanian rule.
Like Surin, the Serenas, who is uh that's a Parthian name or family name, and these are chief military officers under the the um Sasanians, but also really important in the Arsacid dynasty too.
Exactly.
And so Ardashir consolidates power and he has to deal with the internal gaining of loyalty of all the different regions because it is very regionally diverse and culturally diverse, religiously diverse.
Shapur comes to power, he co-rules with his father, and then
seems to I think look outward in his in his messaging.
