And was that the cause of death?

We don't know.

Therefore, it's undetermined.

But I do love the way Dr. Mitchell shared what he could determine, what he couldn't determine, because, again, he had the second autopsy.

Someone had Nolan's body first, the Mississippi medical examiners.

The other thing that was of the greatest significance to me almost jumped out of my seat, because I'll tell you, right before coming on with you, I had a discussion with my father, Dr. Freddie McCray, who's a retired general vascular surgeon who has done autopsies, who's been in medicine for decades.

And so we were just kind of chit-chatting about autopsies, the way that our father and daughter conversations go.

And when I said to him, I said,

I'm really curious to see that hyoid bone.

And he was like, yeah, I want to see the anterior neck.

Anterior means the front of, this part.

And so he was like, yeah, I want to see what the anterior neck showed so we can see if there's any ligatures.

And so we were talking.

So that was the main thing I was listening for, the anterior neck.

And so to find that there was an absence, an absence,

of the part of Nolan's body that could have given us some of the most critical information, whether it said that harm was done or no harm was done.

I was looking to see the hyoid bone because had it been displaced, had it been broken, then that could be consistent with some type of,

a choking or pressure on the neck or an asphyxiation, okay?

And then had the hyoid bone been completely intact, that would give us different information, extremely significant information.

And I find it highly suspicious that that very critical part of the medical examination is missing.
