She's gonna die in three weeks.

What day her funeral's gonna be?

I know what's gonna happen afterwards, I know how she's gonna die.

In three weeks time, my mum is gonna be at Prince of Wales Public Hospital.

And she's gonna get a needle into her arm and that's gonna deliver her a medication, that's gonna send her to heaven.

And she's gonna have voluntary assisted dying.

Because she's got lung cancer.

She found out it had spread to her brain.

She's got terrible headaches.

It's hard for her to breathe.

And she just doesn't want to do it anymore.

And the doctor in me says, This is awesome that we can do this for her.

And the daughter in me says, What the hell is going on here?

Yep.

So back in 2023, she had a rattle in her chest.
