So you have a little bit of a sugary drink and then they do a few blood tests to see how your body handles sugar.
You're meant to do that regularly forever after, after you've had a gestational diabetes.
But again, a lot of women are falling off the radar and we're not doing the testing we're meant to do.
So if you score high on an OSD risk, we would do that at least every three years.
But if we find that you've got prediabetes, then we're going to do it every year while we rapidly try to reverse course.
Oh, so is it reversible?
It's totally reversible.
Like there is not an inevitability that you're going to go on to get diabetes.

we do need to do certain changes to your lifestyle and it's mainly going to be around diet.

What sort of stuff would we be changing?
Because the boring yada yadas that we say for pretty much every single health issue.
There are good carbs out there.
Like a whole grain bread or a lentil is a good carb, right?
But like a packaged lolly chocolate.
