These are like forever chemicals, plastics, the pesticides, herbicides, the petrochemicals.
These also can accumulate and become neurotoxic.
So we want to look for those three types of toxins.
And then in some ways we can identify exposures.
Sometimes we can identify exposures, not always.
And then in other cases we can get specific about how we bind and get those toxins out.
And then second, we talked about nutrients.
Nutrients, we think of micro and macro.
So but we can have imbalances in both.
We can have too much sugar, like our carbohydrates.
So if we're thinking of our macronutrients, our our carbs, fats, and proteins.
Too many carbohydrates leads to diabetes.
Sometimes you'll hear Alzheimer's called type 3 diabetes.
Certainly having insulin sens insulin resistance, excuse me, or diabetes will put you at higher risk for dementia.
And so optimizing metabolism is important.
We recommend an organic ketogenic diet, and often getting endo ketosis will have a huge impact on energy and cognition.
And then from the micronutrient side, we think about minerals.
Even lithium orotate at five milligrams a day has been shown to support our our cognition.
Creatine and amino acid has been shown to support cognition anywhere from five to twenty grams per day.
Talk to your doctor before you start that.
