So I had to make sure that I basically turn off the TV so that
I didn't want him to continuously see that on TV.
And if the event involved the death of a close family member or close friends.
So I went over exactly what we asked them to do and what we read.
I think this is important for people to understand that I can't just say, oh, I think I have PTSD.
No, this is undermining what really happened to people who actually have PTSD because this is such a debilitating disorder.
One thing I should have pointed out from the beginning, this is a debilitating disorder.
These are people who have a hard time functioning like you and me, getting up in the morning, getting in an elevator,
There are people who don't take elevators unless they have somebody else.
And if they take an elevator, the last person who get out, they get out.
It doesn't matter what floor it is because they can be left in there by themselves.
These are people who can't go to work as soon as they get out.
And they have to go back in and call off work.
And that's why they can't keep a job.
So it's not a diagnosis to be taken lightly.
