Yes.
Yes.
And it shows how we can be exquisitely sensitive to something and we think it's danger, but actually it could be
that you've made this sort of sense that there's something in the water and you think the worst, but actually it could be really good.
But I think there's a protective factor because if you always think in the worst, then you're never disappointed.
I actually think it probably can make you vulnerable because it means that you're probably less likely to break outside of your patterns because...
it seems more terrifying to do something different.
And I think that feeling probably does hold people back.
But I think also for some people, it may do the opposite.
That feeling they might be like, I'll do it anyway.
But I think in the workplace,
It is important for managers to realize it's perhaps not best practice to send such emails at five o'clock and often, if possible, to include an agenda so that there is a sense of context.
Because I think a lot of people, but particularly neurodivergent people, do
struggle with that idea of the unexpected.
I think some people do.
And this came up in the research, the RSD qualitative research that we did, is that people withdraw, so they might avoid situations.
