And they'll say, I'm going to change everything.
They'll change whatever things have got in the way.
That might be stopping drinking.
It might be changing a job.
It might be changing a relationship or how you're living, where you're living.
So it can be quite dramatic in that sense.
Yes, I've worked with people that have just gone, I'm not going back into the corporate world or I'm not going to do that job, creative or otherwise, because I need more stability.
So it's about finding something that's a better fit, but that's kind of pretty radical because you don't just change your job generally.
It's a whole sector for people if they're doing it at the extreme edge.
The other version I would see would be that that could be a real wake-up call
to acknowledging actually what's worked for me in the past, it is not what's going to work for me moving forward.
And you can see the inherent risk in it because you don't have that luxury once you've hit burnout and going through that extreme experience to go, well, that makes sense anymore.
On the contrary, it's hugely risky.
So that will often, again, it takes time and a process, but it's looking at
how you overcommit, where you overcompensate, what you say yes to, why, what the costs are to that.
And once you understand your motivations, you can find other ways that are safer, more effective at living life.
But again, it will be changing boundaries, changing how you do things, not necessarily believing and acting upon having to kind of keep everyone happy.
And not necessarily, you know, kind of adapting how you see...
Your identity and how you need to show up in the world.
That can be a profound change that someone would go through when they've got to that edge.
