Because imagine a world where it doesn't go to just Reddit and read forums about mental illness.
It talks to people of experience.
It learns from what matters to them.
And then it learns from them how to best deliver that care back.
Like, we could actually make what we see today more personalized, more effective, and based off better information.
I think it's actually anti-innovation to say you don't want regulation, right?
To say you just want us to be chaotic.
I appreciate where she's coming from with that narrative, but really,
we've seen the rise and fall of mental health apps.
We know where the story is going if we don't have clear rules of the road.
And so I'm going to put out there, it's anti-innovation not to want some type of oversight.
And you can still move fast and be rigorous too, right?
There's almost this implication.
You don't need to be slow.
You can do massive decentralized studies.
You can test this stuff ethically.
You may be 10% slower, but you're not going to kind of have this 15-year bench-to-bedside to develop a new medication.
No one thinks it's going to take 15 years to kind of develop a new chatbot.
A young person can go to Character AI and make their own in a couple minutes, right?
Yeah, so one is there's a lot of these things, so you can be a picky consumer.
