With uh as you acknowledge, you were you would say, I would I admit when I don't know something.
And I I've noticed that there's a huge distinction between uh
Medical ethics and public health ethics in that medical ethics are one of our major pillars is is patient autonomy.
Give them the information, allow them to make this decision.
And I find with
Yes, I am concerned, but with public health, I find that their ethics are are not I don't want to say that they're wrong.
They're just they're different than medical ethics and that patient autonomy doesn't seem to be a priority.
And explaining information, what we know about uh medical interventions, if uh public health wants them, they they simply tend to.
Focus on benefits on even potential benefits tend to focus towards them being settled science when they're
hoped for sign hoped for benefits and de-emphasizing of uh of harm rather than honest communication and and uh acknowledgement of the uncertainties that exist as as you acknowledge to to Anthony Fauci saying I don't I don't know.
And I I feel that uh I'm I'm confused at where the public health establishment and and you were at the head of the CDC are you know are the country's public health institution of
Where is that disconnect coming from between how physicians feel their their commitment is towards autonomy versus public health?

They don't prioritize autonomy in any way, but they seem to have it de emphasized and compared to physicians.
