When I was a kid, I had a teacher who asked me to stay after class. matched

And I said, okay, stay after class. matched

She said, Josh, what do you wanna do when you get older? matched

I said, I wanna be a doctor. matched

And the reason I did is that was the first time my mom had cancer. matched

I saw what she went through and I went, that's what I wanted to be. matched

She said, she laughed at me aloud. matched

And she said, listen, you'll never be a doctor. matched

She said, my own daughter has a 3.8 GPA and she barely got into med school. matched

And I said, okay. matched

And then I walked out of there and then a little later I got diagnosed with ADHD. matched

And so I had this thought in my head constantly, Gary, growing up that I was not smart. matched

And so I honestly stopped trying in school. matched

And it wasn't until I got to college, which by the way, my GPA was so low, I barely got into college. matched
