Why do you do that?

Yeah.

Um, there are times where we probably both have done this, but I probably do it more than you do where I make a decision with an assumptive close.

Yeah.

How do I do that?

Can you think of an example?

I mean, I think the one thing that's really good is a lot of these examples are from when we, early in our marriage, I think.

I do think we've gotten better at, at least I feel like I've gotten better at, recognizing when I have an agenda and trying not to approach it.

Or if I have an agenda, just telling you right out, like, here's what I think we should do, but I want to hear what you think instead of trying to manipulate you towards the answer I want you to have.

God just convicted me that when I manipulate, it's really not asking.

It's really not a decision together then.

Yeah.

And so I had to learn that.

I started feeling like God might be moving us that way.

And I just didn't want to manipulate it.

And I really wanted God to show.

And I'm like, Lord, if this is from you, just independently put it on Mike's heart.

I'm not going to say anything.
