I'm Julie Slattery and I'm really glad you're here.
We've got something a little bit different for you today.
A few months ago I was invited to record a job with Julie episode at Malone University.
That's a Christian university here in my hometown of Akron, Ohio.
They were hosting Dr.
Brad Wilcox for a few days of events and suggested that I interview him in front of a live audience of students.
Dr.
Brad Wilcox is the director of the National Marriage Project, and their goal is to provide research and analysis on how marriage is doing in the United States.
They look at the social and cultural factors that influence relationships today and find ways to help marriages be stronger and last longer.
Brad wrote a book recently called Just Simply Get Married.
It's a fascinating uh
compilation of research and application to that to real life dating and relationships.
In this conversation, Brad and I talked about why, despite all of the freedom and options people have today, so many of us are struggling to find lasting love.
If modern dating feels chaotic, then this conversation may give you a framework to understand why and what you can do differently.
