Because the core mechanism of fixating on, you know, oral fixation, having that fixation and using it as a crutch to, you know, offset any stress or nervousness or anxiety, that's why maybe a lot of people smoke.
They have a, you know, cigarette to, you know, get some calmness.
And then the nicotine provides that energy or focus.
The vaping is doing the same thing, but it's still harmful for health overall.
We also have other tools which are non-nicotine based to break that habit.
Nicotine replacement therapies, but other tools as well, which act on the brain to, you know, like kill that sort of addictive behavior.
What what is your take on, like, you know, this sort of
over marketing on vaping as like a tool to get off smoking.
That's interesting because what vaping is doing, that's targeting
The downstream consequence of the habit.
So you're just replacing one mechanism of nicotine delivery, which is driving that habit, with something else.
So that's not really solving the problem.
It's just maybe reducing the negative health consequences.
But actually, you're saying in terms of your, you know, Jenga tower of habit formation, why someone smoking in the first place?
Is it because of stress?
Is it because of you?
You know, they want something to go in the mouth.
Can that be replaced with coffee or something that's kind of health neutral?
So actually it's looking further upstream of what's leading you to smoke in the first place, which I I I don't think
