Nicotine replacement therapies, but other tools as well, which act on the brain to, you know, like kill that sort of addictive behavior.
What what is your take on, like, you know, this sort of
over marketing on vaping as like a tool to get off smoking.
That's interesting because what vaping is doing, that's targeting
The downstream consequence of the habit.
So you're just replacing one mechanism of nicotine delivery, which is driving that habit, with something else.
So that's not really solving the problem.
It's just maybe reducing the negative health consequences.
But actually, you're saying in terms of your, you know, Jenga tower of habit formation, why someone smoking in the first place?
Is it because of stress?
Is it because of you?
You know, they want something to go in the mouth.
Can that be replaced with coffee or something that's kind of health neutral?
So actually it's looking further upstream of what's leading you to smoke in the first place, which I I I don't think
most people think about when they're trying to stop a bad habit.
They're just trying to solve the actual problem itself.
I I I totally agree because actually you're seeing now who are, you know, dual habit of both smoking and vaping because it's the same thing.
So why wouldn't you do both?
Because it provides the same relief and uh, you know, sort of addictive pathways.
The brain circuitry is virtually the same across both.
