Especially there was so much of this story that is uniquely tied to like my own personal story and then the stories of the women in around me and in my family, that it's truly a book that I think I only could have written as well.
And so it's a um

And I don't have a really like there was never a point where I was like, I should write this about myself.
I think there's a a memoir piece where you're like, I don't know if I have much to say personally.
Um, if I were to write it as a memoir, like who am I as like Kate Sorakis to be out there, like, oh, being a mom is real hard.
Um, but I do think that when we approach
stories and um hardships through fiction, that's where we can actually build empathy.
Because one of the big pieces I found with my m my personal motherhood story is that when I would share about things being hard.
People would um
would often say, you know, every once in a while you get someone who'd be like, Yeah, yeah, honey, it is hard.
