and bored and they've backed me throughout these past three years where it's been really tricky, where they've also carried more than their fair share of workload to allow me to do this role.

And I suspect I've tested their patience enough and it's it's time for me to repay that support.

It isn't me stepping away from national work altogether.

I've been elected on to the the next iteration of BMA Council, so I'm gonna contribute

Yeah, to the wider direction of the BMA and advocating for the profession nationally.

And I think really for me it's about where I can make the biggest contribution rather than rather than leaving the field.

I think my longstanding identity has always been

LMC first and national second.

So I very much accepted a a fixed term responsibility and I delivered as much as I could given what I set out to do.

It's now that chance to step back a bit.

And it's as good a juncture as any to pass on the baton.

Because uh it is full on.

It's twenty four seven, it's three six five and and it's come at a cost.

But now is as good a juncture as any to pass it on in really strong shape for for a new team to take full.

Well I think

The challenges are born from

practices operating under immense relentless pressure.

And every negotiation has taken place against a backdrop.
