So it's not because they're a coroner that they're not doing a good job, right?
And of course we always have those who are not doing a good job.
Yeah, it is invasive.
And I want to give a moment to say, as far as pathology goes, we're the doctor's doctor.
We're the unknown physicians.
We went to medical school.
But forensic pathologists, they do a lot.
The death story is needed.
It makes legislation changes.
It's why the slats on cribs are closer together, to prevent babies from getting hurt.
So it's important.
It gives closure to families.
In this instance, we do a lot that people don't understand and even some doctors don't understand.
So the autopsy is invasive and we do a lot of documentation, the external pictures, every single thing documenting.
If the person has an IV, has marks, contusions, every single contusion is documented with pictures and on a sheet.
Every single thing.
And then the minute we do a Y incision and take out all the internal organs, we're looking at them.
We're looking at everything.
We're taking samples.
And what happens is if you're doing an original of the first autopsy, you're taking a section of each organ and putting it in what we call a stock jar for later.
