So, you know, it was just really innovative and so much so that she was very influenced by Le Corbusier, the Swiss designer, but he was madly jealous of her work.
And when she moved out and she moved to another part of France and created another home for herself,
he was very friendly with Badovici and he came in and he put murals all over her house in a defacement, like a really aggressive act of defacement.
And he was apparently obsessed by the house.
He let it be known, he didn't correct people when they thought he had designed it because she followed quite a lot of his design principles.
So he built a cabin, a little studio for himself above where E1027 was and then he drowned in the sea in front of

So she lived in the south of France in two other homes.
She also had an apartment in Paris and she fell into obscurity really from the 1930s onwards, even though she was working on really innovative projects like, you know, she designed in 1936 the Ellipse House as a way of solving the French housing problem at the time.

kind of cabins.
They were never realised.
And it wasn't until the 1970s that architects began to discover her again.
now her work is in the Pompidou, big exhibition in Collins Barracks, and also in MoMA in New York.
