So Caroline Davidson in 1971 designed a logo for a then startup company originally called Blue Ribbon, but then became known as Nike.

So she came up with the Nike swoosh.

So Nike, the goddess of victory.

And she was asked by Phil Knight, one of the founders of Nike, to design it.

She's paid $35, equivalent to about $280 in today's money.

And he says, I don't love it, but it'll grow on me.

And it goes on to be one of the most famous logos of all time.

Now, she did get stock in 1983 and she retired in 2000.

So resume would be the stock now.

sorted her out financially in the end.

But it's an amazing, like it started with the word Nike and a swoosh and it became so recognisable that all we need to know is, all we need to see now is the swoosh and we recognise the brand.

And that's the ultimate for a company that you can just reduce the image or the essence of the company to a mark.

You don't even have to have type lettering to qualify it.

for Apple?

So she was working for Apple.

She was an art and maths graduate.

She had no interest in computers, no interest in tech.

And Apple was then a startup company.

And she designed what we call a graphical user interface, where...
