And it's a devastating injury.
There's about 20,000 people living with spinal cord injury in Australia today.
Roughly, it's about 50% of individuals will have paraplegia and 50% will have quadriplegia.
So our main primary outcome that we were interested in was people's ability to walk.
This was obvious.
Overall, all participants' walking ability improved to some extent on average.
However, the main finding being that the stimulation group did not improve greater than the sham group.
So we concluded that unfortunately, the addition of the stimulation added no further benefit to the walking training alone.

It's a complicated question in the sense it depends on their funding.
So NDIS versus eye care, depends how they had their accident.
But generally, people will not receive this intensive locomotor training.
The individuals performed the training three times a week for 12 weeks.
Not many people, I would gather, would have that intensity of walking training in the community.
We chose an outcome that measured their walking ability over 10 metres on a scale from zero to 20.
It's called the Walking Index for Spinal Cord Injury.
It's a valid, reliable tool.
