So I used to have this one habit after I would, if I got called in for an emergency craniotomy,
in the middle of the night, I'd walk out and there'd be the vending machine on the way out.
And I would always be starving.
It'd be like 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock in the morning.
And I would get myself two bags of Cheetos, the extra large bag.
And it tasted so good in the car.
And I'm like, you know, you did a good job.
You went in, go have the Cheetos.
Like, and then I finally just said, like, you know, you feel like crap when you wake up in the morning cause you're tired and then you feel more like crap because you're eating two bags of Cheetos and you're putting some weight on, like, just don't do that.
Get a glass of water, get a cup of water and get in your car and go home and go to bed.
Yeah.
So there are, you know, breaking habits, knowing that you're capable of weakening habits and then breaking them.
I love that Epictetus quote, you know, for habits must first be weakened before they can be destroyed.
And then as far as thoughts to have a healthy brain.
i think that you talked about judgmental being judgmental of yourself one of the things i found especially with anthony i was being judgmental of myself i was saying i wasn't good enough i was saying i should have picked something up sooner i should have operated more slickly i could have retracted on his brainless whatever whatever caused him to have his bad outcome must have been my fault when i became less judgmental of myself 16 years later i became less judgmental of others
And I became a much more effective leader because I, I just, I eliminated.
Now I'm not, I'm not, I haven't eliminated all judgmental from this.
When somebody cuts me off in the highway, I'm still want to judgment is important.
Judgment is good.
You know, knowing not to cross the street during rush hour, that's judgment.
