It's the subjective comprehend.
So when we have an event that drops in our life, we have to ask ourselves, is this a tool or an obstacle?
Is it positive and negative, subjectively and objectively?
Okay, I got a raise.
That monetarily is good.
Okay, my boss is a real problem.
I don't think I can work here.
That's subjectively negative.
That puts me in the bottom quadrant of that Descartes XY.
Okay, that's the calm before the storm.
Something's gonna happen, okay?
Or I talk about an experience when I had a person that had this facial pain and they came in and it was one of the first times I did the entire operation myself during my training, where we had to make an incision behind their ear, drill a hole about the size of a 50 cent piece,
retract the brain and come down to the nerve that causes the pain and move a blood vessel away from the nerve and put some padding between it.
It's called the microvascular decompression and it relieves the pain, it cures them.
And in my training, I did the whole operation myself with my teacher just watching.
And it was a flow experience because objectively, I was materially having my boss see me knowing that I was competent and subjectively it was getting me towards my goal.
That's the flow quadrant.
So flow, and then below that is the calm before the storm.
And then if something is objectively negative and subjectively negative, then you're in the negative, negative quadrant of the Descartes.
And that's the all is lost situation.
