So objectively, on the x-axis, you had something that's monetarily or acquisitionally bad, like you lose your job, so you're not getting paid, but you have free time to create.
And that's subjectively positive.
And we're constantly going through this quadrant system in our lives.
It's the heroic journey that Joseph Campbell talks about.
And ideally, we're getting better and better at getting out of these things because if you learn how to dissect them and break them down, that's the first step towards dismantling fear.
And when we dismantle fear, what happens?
Love shows up.
Some people say courage shows up.
I say love shows up.
If you ask a Congressional Medal of Honor winner why they ran up the hill to that bunker under machine gun fire to kill that guy that was firing the gun, he doesn't say, because I believe in freedom.
He says, because he was killing my friends.
That's why they do it.
That's love.
It's an act of love.
So that's what I believe.
I believe if we want to perform at our best, we dismantle fear, love shows up, and we're at our best.
The disease of self-esteem.
I think that if you really talk about elite performers that day in and day out deliver what they need to, they don't have esteem.
They have no esteem.
