I know as well what it's like.

I've visited all these areas, personally witnessed what it's like to see something you know is wrong.

and wonder why no one tried to fix it.

It's infuriating.

The Vice President described very accurately exactly what you see on the ground.

And there isn't support for doing that at this point.

As I've said, and we will, we will get on it and we will have a vote on the SAVE Act.

But it sounds like that vote might be subject to a 60-vote threshold.

Is that what you're saying?

Look, I get it.

The Senate rules are complicated.

They're intimidating to some people, but it's all the more reason why you should be deeply suspicious of

of senators telling you, sorry, we can't get the Save America Act passed because the Senate rules won't allow it.

And then you ask the follow-up question, what about the talking filibuster?

If they then say, sorry, it won't work, make them show their work.

Make them establish why it is that it can't be done.

It's awfully easy for somebody who can hide behind the complexity of the Senate rules

to tell you that they don't want to do something by claiming that they can't do something.

So make them show their work.

The truth is this could work and it needs to work.
