And as leaders, it is our job to make sure our environments are psychologically safe.

And to me, what that means is the team members, they feel safe to speak up.

They can ask questions, they can admit their mistakes, they can raise concerns, or they can challenge an idea without

Worrying that they're gonna be punished or yeah, or ignored or embarrassed.

And I think we can all agree that in healthcare, speaking up is so incredibly essential, especially because we know that it can impact patient safety.

So we really need to create these environments where people feel safe to speak up, but we have to be willing to have the difficult conversations, ignoring that disruptive behavior, that's what's going to unfortunately.

Like preserve that toxic or that culture that you don't want.

So for us, it was making sure they were fully educated and equipped to be having these types of conversations and really holding those standards.

So back in August of 2023, it's been a while already, we had a significant need for culture change in our emergency department.

They were going through a very challenging time and had experienced significant turnover.

So we, you know, we had to bring in a lot of agency.
