Between myself and Nima, our CMO and our president Jen, we really all partnered together to make sure that our nursing and our physician leadership had the support that they needed.
And it was just really great to
see the synergy between that those two leadership teams really connect.
And to take it a few steps further, I would also say, again, speaking to the isolation piece, is that I feel this work, the culture work was so successful because we also engaged other disciplines.
So we included folks from lab, respiratory, transport, our registration teams, our float pool, because they're part of the team.
That's their daily.
And everybody plays a role in how we're communicating and showing each other respect and how we're showing up in real time.
And the last thing I would say with that is is the importance of leveraging frontline team members.
So we have a really robust shared governance structure.
And I think that's a pretty common term, but for us, our shared governance, we connect a monthly.
And we have about 140 different team members that come together.
It's multidisciplinary.
So certainly nursing.
And then you have the other roles that are involved with patient care.
In the afternoon of our shared governance days, we break into what we call our unit councils.
And that's where the emergency department really pulled in a lot of this work.
Because we had those frontline teams, the leaders were able to get feedback from them.
